I bought our second LG LSE4616ST for our winter home. The induction burners started to turn off during cooking. LG said we needed HEXCLAD pots and pans. We have been long time LG INDUCTION users in our other home and it operates with regular induction pots and pans. We did upgrade to HEXCLAD and still have the same inconsistent performance from the burners. LG refuses to replace the defect and have been very difficult to deal with. We have a complete LG kitchen including frig dishwasher microwave etc and love them but the induction range is not performing and either is LG.

Weve only had this range for a few weeks now but so far it has performed as advertised and we are getting used to induction cooking having had a gas stove for many years. It definitely heats as quick or quicker than gas and the temperature regulation is rather precise.

I have had this range for two years and it is the third induction range I have owned. While the overall product is a decent one mine has been faulty. Soon after I bought it the power boil feature didnt work on the left side of the cook top. I called warranty service and the service man replaced the mother board. Two months later it happened again. I didnt call for service right away because the other burners worked fine and I could make do with those After finally getting to the bottom of my to do list and calling for service again I find out that not only is the mother board bad again but both the front and rear burners are burned out on the left hand side. LG parts are back ordered and I dont know WHEN I will get the parts in to be able to have the cook top fixed. The range is just about two years old and it hasnt really EVER worked properly. The oven seems ok but took some getting used to for baking/cooking very hot on the top rack not so much on the bottom. Would love to hear from LG regarding my situation as my service person said that LG should be reaching out to me regarding the extended wait period for parts.

I would not recommend this range if to someone who enjoys cooking. I renovated my kitchen 6 months ago and did weeks of research on whether to stick with gas or get an induction range. I decided on induction because it is better for the environment and highly regarded as an alternative to gas. Yes it boils water in seconds. But the reason I dont like cooking with it is the burners cook unevenly. You can see where the element is under the pot because the food in the center of the pot cooks faster than the outer edge of the pot. This is a problem when braising or cooking anything with a roux or even cooking bacon. Even at medium temperature it cooks like this. Additionally when using more than one burner the power is much less for each burner so timing or estimating end time is tricky. The burners dont burn as hot so its hard to know at what temperature it should be cooked. I will note that one of the burners was replaced by LG because it was faulty but the cooking is still not what I expected. I have had no issues with the oven. Takes about 10 minutes to pre-heat to 400.

I bought this stove a few weeks ago and have been enjoying every time I use it. My kids who are 4 and 8 can now safely cook with me and arent fearful of the heat since its only the pan that gets hot. I have noticed that all my proteins have been cooking more evenly and not burning in different locations in the pan as its an even heat from the stove to the pan.

GARBAGE Unless You Want Food Burned or Undercooked

We finally were able to replace our 20-yr old stove and were looking forward to the LSE4616ST arriving. From the first day it did not operate properly. The outside of the food would be fried blackened and the inside was not warm at all. I called LG customer service and that was a nightmare of having to prove something was wrong and insist we get a tech call for them to deal with the issue. They referred us to a third-party repair company but they also were sending texts I could not reply to that stated things the third party repair didnt know about so I ended up on the phone over and over again trying to get the computer part of the stove replaced. According to the third-party service guy this is a KNOWN problem So why ship a defective appliance? It was a nightmare for TWO MONTHS to even GET this part. Meanwhile Im trying to cook on this piece of junk. The temps were way off we had them adjusted and checked. We got the repair done and bought an oven thermometer which showed the oven would reach temp then continue to rise about 50 degrees higher than what I set the oven for I kept getting nearly charred exterior to baked dishes while the insides were not even warm. I have to babysit anything that goes into the oven and constantly check the oven thermometer just to get a halfway decent result but honestly my old stove with the door falling off worked a lot better than this piece of junk. Also the self-cleaning oven does not work. So now I have the LG ap which texts me to say clean the oven when I just cleaned it by hand because the self-cleaning and easy-clean dont do a thing. The induction elements are a joke. They can do a burst to boil water which I like but other than that there is zero finesse at any lower temp. This means I have to cook at a much higher setting even to simmer because the elements just dont provide a hot enough or sensitive enough temperature range. DO NOT BUY THIS THING. I wish it was out of here. As soon as we are able were getting rid of it. Thousands of dollars wasted on something that never worked properly in the 4 months weve owned it. Im very angry and feel Ive been betrayed.

In advance of my 50th birthday party I purchased this range as a gift to myself. There were two reasons for replacing my old gas stove improving indoor air quality and better baking conditions. Four months have passed and I am so pleased with the results. Whether Im cooking for 100 or 1 the heating has reduced my time in the kitchen and cooking time for baked goods is reliable and the quality consistent. The only downside was replacing many of my old copper pans. If Id had to let go of the cast iron ones dont think Id have considered induction heating

I bought this during the holidays in time to bake cookies cakes and main dishes for neighbors and family. I especially love how easy it is to clean on the dark glass top. Finally a reliable oven bake temperature I can rely on. Using the cook top took a bit of learning but I am loving it and getting used to its features. Being able to set other items like a plate or another pan on top while using one burner to prepare meals without worrying about the item next to it getting hot is helpful. Now I need to look for better pans that use induction heat. Cast iron is becoming too heavy for arthritic hands

I had been using the range for about 5 weeks and then the induction portion of the range just quit working. None of the four burners will turn on but the rest of the range still works perfectly. Bought conduction stove for the first time. The technology is good and Im not sure of other brands but the stove top is pretty persnickety when it comes to the SIZE of the pot and corresponding burners. The controls for the oven are unlit and difficult to read. One of my burners consistently does not work and Im told to switch the breaker to reset the motherboard. Something wrong with this if I have to do it more than once. I gave it a 4 because Im still exploring its features but the burner reliability bothers me.

It takes no time to boil and the consistent temperature for cooking especially simmering is just incredible. Induction was an experiment for us. A key criterion for our choice was price precise oven knob control and the 2 years Costco warranty based on problematic reviews. 10 months after the installation: we lost oven and top - half-way cooking a meal with both top and oven working all the power-based components. Electronic control and sensor were still working. It took two weeks for LG to fix the obvious issue the 50 amps power cord melted at its junctionscrews to the range power connection bar - unclear if an installation issue or range design. Annoyed. Then 2 weeks is still only two weeks and we are back happy with the range: Pros * oven temperature stability is superb not quite a professional oven but you can actually cook two shelves of puffed pastries choux and genoise. * the boost power heat for boiling rapidly large water pot is fantastic. * non scratch really easy to clean top * the dish warmer actually works. Cons: * top temperature control is precise but too step-wise. you wish for a more finer continuous temperature control. Requires to move large pans over to small burners for precise but low temperature cooking. * the +/- digital control make the timer unusable.

We have had this slide-in range for three weeks and I am overall quite pleased. The oven capacity is more than adequate though the pre-heat time is more than I expected from other reviews. The insulation level of the oven seems very good as it remains warm long after baking. I am happy with the performance of the induction burners ecstatic with the ease of cleaning the surface and pleased with the time it takes to boil water. Pre-heating a pan is still a mystery but Im getting there. I am less happy with the burner layout it does not seem optimal but I cannot yet make a constructive suggestion. I am least pleased with setting the timer trying to use the 10 minutes-at-a-time feature jumps far too quickly and I have yet to discover a method to make that anything less than quite annoying. I cannot use my Lodge reversible grill as it does not have either side completely flat and I am still searching for a new wok. Overall good but not a great unit.

Just replaced my gas stove with this induction model and I am very happy to be back cooking with Induction. We have had induction ranges for the past 12 years but when purchasing this home it had gas so took awhile to make the transition. Love the functionality of the burners and oven. The oven bakes and broils better than our old gas/electric model. Much faster bake and broil times and more even results. The induction burners are very nice. I am still getting used to them regarding what exact setting to use for various dishes I cook. I went overboard with one of the first dishes and ended up with a little burn on some of the pieces. Havent made that mistake again. One thing that totally confuses me with the range is the Warming Burner. I have no idea what it does and after trying to use it several times it doesnt even appear to actually heat up or turn on. I need to call support and find out if it is me or the burner itself. I would have much preferred another induction burner but need a replacement faster than having to wait for another model to be in stock. All in all love the range and love being back to cooking with Induction.

I bought this in December of 2022. It was delivered in March and then installed in April. Turned it on and wow talk about super powered induction burners--better than advertised boiling water in no time flat. Convection oven is terrific-bakes evenly. The problem is that only two of the four induction burners actually work as expected. The two on the left get warm--never hot enough to boil water. The two on the right work as expected getting hot and boiling water. The left two just dont do the job. Service has come out and replaced the burners the board the controls the burner and is now ordering new wiring for the left side. But the wiring is not available until at least end of August. I bought this item because I was impressed with the safety features and cooking. Burners turn off if pots are removed. There is a boost mode so that liquids come rapidly to a boil. Stove is good looking and clean up is a dream.

Bought this range 4 months ago and waited until now to write a review. I have had induction before and so for me it was a no-brainer to choose induction again. This range works great heats fast and is as responsive as a gas range. The only thing I would improve on this is this: make the vent on the back easily removable for cleaning access. Also move the oven light control out of the way of the other controls so you dont accidentally stop the timer when you want to turn on the oven light. Aside from these issues this oven range is perfect

Going from a 5-burner gas cooktop range to a 5-burner electric induction range was less daunting than I expected. Figuring out what cookware I was going to use was the most complicated issue. In a perfect world I still prefer the evenness of gas cooking however since that wasnt an option in my new build I am pleased that I chose induction. The only caveat is that it requires paying more attention to and being careful with how the cooktop is treated and maintained.

I love the simple sleek design of this range. Because of summer heat I have only used the cooktop will update my review for the oven later. Induction cooking for me will take some getting used to as I have previously only cooked with gas. However the burners heat up quickly evenly. Make sure the cookware you have or purchase is magnetic - I bought a low end All Clad set that did not work with this stove. Now I carry a little magnet in my purse to check if a pan will work.

After substantial research we selected the LG appliances range refrigerator microwave dishwasher to upgrade our kitchen. It took a few months to have the LG Induction Range delivered but well worth the wait. Definitely convinced that induction stove top coupled with a large convection oven is the best option for multiple reasons. It is a pleasure to cook with induction that heats the food and not the kitchen. We have cooked with gas and electric resistance induction is much more efficient. Thank LG we look forward to years of cooking on our LG range.

Continued Problems with Cooktop

We are on our 2nd induction cooktop stove as the first was replaced due to the cooktop not working at all. Replacement range now has one burner that doesnt work. LG technician has been out 3 times replacing all parts. The range has been approved for another replacement but LG has not called back to get the return/replacement completed as they said they would. Poor product and even worse customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND LG and especially dont recommend the induction range.

Five months in and we have concerns

A month ago the oven stopped working. The top burners continued to work and we remain pleased with the appliances performance as a stove the problem that arose affected the oven only. We called-in BestBuys Geek Squad - we have a Service plan it took a week for the Serviceman to arrive he called LG from our home and it was evident that LG was fully aware of whatever caused the malfunction reportedly a long-identified design flaw with the oven control that would require a circuit-board replacement. A replacement did arrive in under a week but it would close to another week before Geek Squads Marcos a most affable man could return to install it. Today the oven is back working and were keeping our fingers crossed it will continue to do so. We record our disappointment that this identified LG design flaw was not addressed prior to the appliance being sold/delivered to us only 5 months ago. We lost the use of our new oven for the better part of a month and at a time when we had houseguests.
