So much space

Ive had my new fridge for about a month now and love it. I had my eye on it for a while but found it on the pricier side for a fridge. I was going to wait till my old fridge went. My husband surprised me with it when he replaced our kitchen counters and refaced our cabinets. I am so happy he did. This fridge is so roomy I no longer need to use my second fridge in the basement when I have leftovers. I also liked this fridge for the chill drawer because I have two small children. So worth it I keep all their snacks there and they no longer open the fridge door and keep it open. They are happy that they have their own drawer and I dont worry about them climbing into the fridge and breaking and spilling stuff while at it. Best purchase ever. My neighbors came over and they are taking a wall down in their kitchen now because they want to make room for a fridge like ours :

No longer works

Was a great appliance until it wasnt. Within 8 months the compressor failed. The service from LG to repair has been horrific. We have had 3 technicians to repair it and it still doesnt work.

I have had for three years and Ive maker broke. Leaked all over. While waiting for repair the entire refrigerator stopped working and I lost all the food Very disappointed than refrigerated only lasted 3 years and cost almost 4000.00

A lot of space with a great layout

i have only had this fridge for about 10 days. i have gone from one my favorite refrigerators Samsung Chef that had one major problem the ice machine freezing up numerous times to having to replace it. So the search began and i ended up with the LG. Thus far I am happy with this product EXCEPT for the ice machine. Living in Texas we go through a lot of ice. I wish it had a 2nd ice machine as there were times in the first few days that it ran out of ice. Its a very small ice maker and doesnt seem to produce ice was fast as we need it to. I have remedied that by storing ice in the freezer and stocking up ice from the ice machine. I also wish that the dividers in the pull out refrigerator drawer and in the freezer would lock in place. The dividers move around depending on what you have in each section.I dont store much in the freezer so i dont need much freezer space. so stay tuned so far so good.

I love the frig but it has had some problems

The first one delivered would not cool down. It took days to get to 40 degrees. I received the 2nd refrigerator just 3 days ago. Temperature dropped exactly as it should. The space inside the freezer is great well divided and easy to find items in. I was not really in favor of a drawer type freezer but this changed my mind. The refrigerator is wonderful. This is my 1st experience with the door in door part but have found it to also work very well. It is very well lit inside making it easy to see where everything is. All of the shelves are split and adjustable. The bottom one over the drawers pulls out to make finding things in the back easy. It is a really great refrigerator but they do seem to have some bugs. Unfortunately there is one thing that is not working and that is the ice dispenser. It makes ice very quickly the crusher works very well. But the dispenser flapper doesnt open to allow the ice into the glass.

We purchased this gorgeous extremely large refrigerator that is an engineering marvel about 1 month ago We extol every day on all the features we love. We had a stainless steel 25 cubic ft side by side in counter depth and an 18 cubic ft fridge in our garage. Both we filled to the brim. Wow this beauty with the hidden ice maker. Our entire family is in love with it. We had more room in this marvel even after the 2 were emptied. Fabulous freezer drawers multi use refrigerator drawer

Worst Fridge Ever

If you are looking to buy a refrigerator DO NOT Waste your money on LG. I Have had this model for 4 years and in that time the ice maker quit working the compressor has went out 3 times and the evaporator has also went out. If I could leave negative stars I would. LG has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. This last repair took 7 weeks to get it fixed. This is unacceptable and I would expect much more from a company like Lg. We got nothing but the run around. The product isnt cheap And definitely not worth the money. I will not ever purchase an LG appliance again.

Love the features BUT

Could use better shelf adjustment options. I have a few standards items that I have to lay on the side and take up shelf space. Refrigerator is about three inches deeper then necessary. Short people with short arms need a step stool to reach the back of the unit. Love the fact that the freezer liner can be removed for deep cleaning.

If only the quality matched the beauty

I bought this refrigerator in June/July 2015. It ran fine until the unit stopped dispensing water in the fall 2018. The cause for this was a wire in the door had broken which could only be replaced by replacing the whole door. Apparently this is a common problem. Either there isnt enough play with the wiring that controls the water dispensing system when you open/close causing the wire to break the wires used are too frail causing the wires to break or its both. I cant remember exactly what the tech said. Either way the wires in the door seem to have a habit of breaking. The next issue was the fuse on the mother board blew. I wish the fuse was easy to replace. Unfortunately you have to call a tech out and hope they have a spare fuse they can solder in place... The repair for the above issues were both north of $700 combined. LG Id like an update on my case # please? Fast forward to August of 2019... The ice maker which ironically came with the new door in Nov. 2018 stopped turning to release newly made ice in the ice tray. I did as LG Support suggested resetting the ice maker. Unfortunately not only was that not enough but 36 hours later the whole unit stopped cooling. I have to wait until the technician gets here tomorrow but by the previous reviews the problem sounds like the compressor.

for the first 3 years this fridge worked very nice. but now this year I have had 2 failed compressors. food wasted lots of clean up to do because of it not cooling and trying to get a repair if you can wait for 2 weeks. while the fridge is very large in size do note that if your compressor fails and it appears many of us have had that happen there is also a lot wasted. if a service center schedules appointments for LG 2 weeks out it is also a bit of a concern. would recommend you look at a different brand as LG doesnt provide for good customer service and their quality is not very good on this model with the inverter/compressor it is silent though when it works but it becomes a microwave in temperature and noise when it fails.

Compressor will break long repair times

I just had my LG die a few weeks ago and the compressor is still under warranty however the turn around repair time is 4 weeks just to get a tech out without parts then they will have to order parts then have to reschedule into the already 4 week backlog system. Means looking at a 2 month repair time with no fridge. After reading others review with AE factory LG contracts with they still had no fridge after 2 months in my area. I dont plan to wait that long without a fridge. There isno point keeping a bad product just to have it break again on you. A 10 year warranty on compressor doesnt mean a lot if you cant get service. It would be like having a heater system in the winter and being told the tech to handle the warranty cant come out for weeks.

We bought out LG Refrigerator about 30 months ago and I have been noticing for some time that the food is not as cold as I would likebut just assumed that it was probably from opening it often. Two days the whole thing died lost all the food in the refrigerator and freezer . I am in the process of cleaning out all the defrosted food in my freezer and everything in the refrigerator. I am really dissappointed with LG before this every refrigerato every onne I have had for the past 50 years has lasted for many years one sears lasting for 20 years. I dont know if it is worth fixing

Dont waste your money time and effort

I bought this product and in a few years have had the compressor and different parts changed multiple times. It cools again for sometime and them warms up until all the ice melt and my food goes bad. I keep throwing all my food away. when you call for repair they will immediately mail you another compressor. Its almost as if they are expecting the fridge to break down. I have had a very bad experience........ with the product and your technician....... I have requested for a third repair and have been given another week. I cant even cook for my family because there is no where to store the food or the produce. I have thrown all my food away.

Good Ice Maker

Had this fridge for a month and so far all is good. I realy like the ice maker and the freezer unit. My only complaiant is I cannot reach the top shelf at the back. It is quite deep and sticks out from the cabiinets about a foot. Also the shelf arrangement is not good but most refigerators have the same problem

Biggest Piece of Garbage Ever

We bought this model less than 2 years ago and we are now in our 2nd Compressor issue. The problem is that here in Dallas/Fort Worth there is NO Appliance company that will service the 10 year compressor warranty because LG wont pay them in a timely fashion and some dont get paid at all. This is the 2nd time in 2 years that we have lost ALL the food in our fridge and freezer and LG WILL NOT compensate us nor will expedite or work with parts to help in the issue. Last November when this happened we were without our fridge for a month waiting on LG and appliance repair people. So far we are going on week 2 and no help in sight. SO far Ive called 15 appliance repair people and they all want me to pay for everything up front and for LG to reimburse me

We purchased this new 3 years ago and its been a decent fridge for $3000. Decent features makes ice relatively quickly. Its quiet. The snack drawer and swing door are very nice. Until Friday night Fridge and freezer stopped cooling. No warning just a melted freezer and find out no cooling in either fridge or freezer section. I called our extended warranty purchased thru Home Depot and service by LG Saturday morning after throwing out a ton of food. LG cant be bothered and apparently doesnt have the support to send someone to look at it i.e. not fix but look for 2 weeks Absolutely ridiculous. Last LG product we will purchase. And did I mention this fridge is only 3 years old. We are in Dallas - its a relatively large city but they have a single 3rd party service company. Some guy and a pickup is LGs only service offering and what if this guy goes on vacation or gets a flat tire... So Im waiting for this clown LG found somewhere to show up hopefully in 2 weeks and according to LG to assess and then order parts for a future install. So if it takes 2 weeks to just look at it Im guessing another 2 or so weeks waiting for a compressor install. Wake up smell your failures

Substandard warranty repair

Called customer support almost 3 weeks ago as refrigerator was not cooling and I had conducted troubleshooting as directed in manual. My wife conducted 1st phone call to 0 resolution. This was almost 3 weeks ago. I called the next day and they finally scheduled a NON LG technician to come out 4 days later. I called back and told then that waiting 4 EXTRA days was unacceptable. They scheduled an LG technician for 2 days later. All food in refrigerator LOST and they would reimburse $200 for food loss AFTER repairs were completed. I took time off of work in order for technician to repair my refrigerator. He replaced the compressor and said it SHOULD be at proper temps in 24 hours. We waited for the additional 24 for hours AGAIN not able to buy food eating out. Called the 3rd time to inform then that it still was NOT properly cooling and they scheduled the same technician to return. Almost 2 weeks without a working refrigerator. Tech NOW says that Now the condenser is leaking. He replaces condenser and is on phone with who I take is a supervisor or another technician as after he replaces condenser it is STILL not properly cooling as the readings on is screen are NOT correct. Whomever he is speaking to evidently tells him what needs to do and I hear him say that will be an ALL day repair and he is not NOT staying here all day. He admits to me that when he replaced the condenser when he soldered or welded the new component it must have gotten too hot and plugged an oriface stopping freon ?? flow and had to repair that. He leaves and says to wait 24 MORE hours to see if it is cooling properly. So here we are going on almost 3 weeks NO refrigerator or freezer to use as designed. I call back tonight Saturday the day that I am told that NO supervisors are available on weekends. Ann the lady I was speaking to would NOT provide her last name or employee numbers for my reference. Now she has to submit to their resolution department to see if my refrigerator can be replaced under warranty. BUT a technician needs to come out FOR the 3rd Time to determine if it needs to be replaced. I also wast told by Ann that she would submit this information to resolution department who ALSO do NOT work weekends and DO NOT have a direct phone number for customers. AFTER it gets to resolution department it is up to them to determine if it can be replaced. NO idea how long that takes or when I asked for a different technician was informed that the process starts ALL OVER AGAIN. Will NOT reimburse for the 2 or possibly 3 days taken off from work. Since I asked for a different technician I was NOT given a new date for a technician to show up. TOTALLY UNSATISFIED Hopefully some Corporate person will read this and resolve my issue. I bought and compared top of the line refrigerators. LG out distanced the competition by a mile. The features of the door in a door for quick reach beverages is something I really like. I am using the third drawer for wine storage and the temperature is spot on I am also like the fact that the ice maker is in the door which frees up the refrigerator space for large platters.

Bought this a couple of years ago with an extended warranty. The compressor failed in April.Its now mid July. They have been to my house seven times since April and its never been repaired. The latest part they are going to throw at it is another compressor the last one was the wrong one says LG.Compressor failures are very common with LG.I am wondering how much longer this can go on before they replace it. Two visits ago an LG rep said this is the last visit. It will be fixed or you get a one. Of course that was a big lie. Still waiting for the third compressor to be installed.Would give zero stars

As soon as my extended warranty ran out I have a lemon The ice maker stopped working. We now buy bags of ice Then the refrigerator stopped keeping foods cold. The freezer doesnt freeze. Ive lost so many frozen items. Thank goodness we have a side by side refrigerator in the garage that we use now. We bought 3 LG new appliances 4 years ago. I wont again. Im now waiting for a new circuit board from a very good technician. My sister bought this same one and replaced the ice maker already under warranty. Now her warranty expires on July 20 2019. Her refrigerator is now having the same problems as I am and she cant get service until July 17 No extra refrigerator to use and she has loads of food that shell will waste. Since her purchase was over $2500 they wont let her buy another warranty. Thats ridiculous. I should have read reviews before I purchased it

We bought this refrigerator less than 2 1/2 years ago and it broke down twice already. Both of the times the compressor went out and each time it took one month to get it fixed. What a nightmare Its a good thing we have an extra refrigerator in our garage to keep most of the goods but we did have to throw away some because there was no room to keep them. This was the worst investment ever I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this refrigerator because its obvious from the reviews that this refrigerator has compressor problems.

When I purchased the refrigerator I had no idea that tech-support could be performed phone. My kids left the refrigerator door open which is in the fridge into auto defrost mode. Unbeknownst to us we had no idea why the fridge was no longer staying cold and wind the freezer was throwing all of the frozen foods. We called for an expert evaluation and was told that its going to cost $200 for an Evaluation plus parts and labor. In a last ditch effort I called customer service with LG and the support individual was able to Show me how to use the feature where I put the phone up to it communication device on the top right portion of the fridge that enabled the refrigerator to send a diagnostic report of my refrigerator to him in the customer service department where ever he was sitting. This enabled him to instruct me on how to reconfigure my fridge very quickly and reset it so that everything worked properly. This saved me a ton of time and a ton of money I would buy this fridge over and over again and recommend it to anyone.

Bought a Samsung a few weeks prior to buying the LG for our vacation home. I like the Samsungs door in door feature better because the milk/lg. Pitcher space slides out for easy access. However I like the LG feature of the extra drawer in the freezer. Great for organizing food. The 2 little compartments in the refrigerator are handy for cheese sticks and small cold snacks for grandkids wish the kid was plexiglass and not tempered glass though. The design of the LG is far superior to the Samsung. Love how it is easy to replace the air filter and the water filters. Loving life with my new LG 29 cu. ft. refrigerator.

This was a replacement from a Samsung that we really like but arrived damaged and the model was discontinued. The Samsung had the same features but with metal cooling liner in top and cooler drawer and better shelve space for taller items. It also had smudge proof stainless steel surface. Wish I would of kept with damage and with a damage refund price offered to me. Sorry

Great features without cooling

Bought this four years ago for $3600 with a 10-year warranty on the compressor. Last week it broke down and stopped cooling. After several phone calls to LGs customer service and talking with people in Philippines they scheduled an appointment with AE Factory services for five days later between the hours of 8 and 12. On the day AE called at 10 a.m. saying they could not make the appointment and had to reschedule for the afternoon of the following day or the morning of 10 days later. I could not have anyone at my home on those days and I could not do without a refrigerator for that long. I spent the rest of the morning calling and waiting on the phone to be told my only other option was an appointment for 8 days later and buying a mini refrigerator for under $200 to keep my food in until AE could repair my refrigerator.

Worst customer service award.

Top of the line did not last 3 years. It stopped getting cold. We know that happens but the customer service is the worst I have ever seen. I have been on the phone for 2 days now at least 5 hours and they first scheduled a repair with MODERN APPLIANCE SERVICE who said they would be here between 8 and 12 pm on Wed and at 11 pm on wed they called us to inform us it would be 7 days before they could have someone here We called LG back again and again and now they will call us back when their scheduling dept finds someone to look at it. Our son has diabetes and has to keep his insulin cold and thats not happening and LG could care less. We are buying ice to keep it cold. No one has called us back and we have talked to with 3 managers so far and no one has called us back and we have no service date yet. Wonder how long this will go on? I am getting ready to call them again and spend today on the phone begging for help after spending $4000 on a Refrigerator.

Getting customer service was a nightmare Tehcnician arrived after more than a week and made a botched repair had to return three and do over. I bought this refrigerator in January of 2017. The first time it went out was about a year after we purchased it. The repair man was sent out by LG he replaced the compressor and the refrigerator began to work again. Four months later the refrigerator went out again. I called LG and they sent another repair man out he again replaced the compressor and the refrigerator began to work again. The following month the refrigerator went out again for the THIRD TIME IN 6 months I again called LG they sent out a repair man who replaced a bunch of parts none of which solved the issue. I have now been without a refrigerator for 3 WEEKS and it will be another week before another repair man can come out and attempt to fix my refrigerator. This was by far THE WORST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE STAY AWAY DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy.

Not easy to repair

The compressor failed after two years. There seems to be no end in the repair process. There is always one more thing to do to make it cool. Lg is willing to spend for repairs but do not expect it to be replaced. They should have told us up front and we would have just cut our losses. Warranty seems to mean working on the appliance not making customer happy. More to come.

THis fridge has been a nightmare I called LG multiple times and their contract service with AE repair is terrible. They have sent 2 technicians and replaced my compressor and it still doesnt work Im 10 days and still have a broken fridge. LG does not care about their customers and show no signs of trying to help this being my 2nd LG fridge and my 4th appliance. Based on this experience with a broken product I would never recommend LG based on their terrible service and warranty. My fridge random beepsnot the open door alarm has the compressor replaced and my fridge is at 70 degrees and it spoiled $300 worth of food

I have had this fridge for 3 years 2 months and 20 days. All cooling ceased and the compressor was audibly running. I was infuriated by the potential $1000+ repair bill likely required to the point where I was picking out new models of any refrigerator that was not LG. I calmed down and called the customer service line and explained the situation. The agent exclaimed that it is much too soon by a decade for this kind of problem and she initiated the repair scheduling. The parts and labor costs will be covered completely. All one could ask for.
