Cooktop stains easily; dropped food and boiling water stain

I bought this cooktop approximately two months ago and almost immediately had staining problems. First, some water boiled over and left a stain I haven't been able to remove after trying two different brands of cleaner. Second, a little pasta sauce fell from the spoon I was using and also left a stain. For a new appliance, it looks bad.

I have had this cook top in for a few weeks now and it works great, the knobs are easier to use and tell what the setting is than on the previous top. Since it was a replacement for another top of the same size, my husband and I were able to do the installation ourselves and it went in easily. If I can get all the splatters and grease marks off it looks very nice, but with a mirror slick surface it is almost impossible to get every streak off, especially grease.

I just recently purchased my Whirlpool glass top stove, and I am very happy with it. I love the different size burners, as you can use the burner that fits the size pan you want to use. I like the knobs off to the side out of the way, and for the first time in many years I have the ability to soft simmer. My old cooktop had two settings off and high, so I am enjoying all the heat ranges. The Whirlpool stove top is a very good value.

We did a full kitchen remodel and bought this cooktop for the great price and features. It is a nice top and heats up VERY fast. However, this cooktop bubbles. When I cook, especially with something greasy like bacon, there are small bubbles left under the pan after I am finished. Sometimes they come out with cooling or cleaning, but it takes many times of messing with it. I do like the ease of cleaning it compared to my old electric coil cooktop, but I find it is not a "one swipe and it's done" job.

Bought this as a replacement for a very similar that got broken when a pan was dropped on it. The new unit required a slightly larger cutout. The enclosed are under the glass surface was larger and much more substantial. Other than a little trimming, the installation was pretty straight forward. But once it had been installed then the quality really became apparent. The cooking surface heats quickly and efficiently. I had been considering a more expensive unit but at the last minute decided the Whirlpool unit was the best value. Very happy with the decision!!

WONDERFUL TO USE

This is my second electric ceramic glass cooktop. It heats a lot faster than my previous unit manufactured by a different company. It seems to be slightly easier to clean the glass top and the only drawback to these units are getting use to the amount of time it takes for the stovetop to cool to the touch after use. In some cases, I put water into the pan and place it back on the burner to prevent any possible burns.

I bought this cooktop 1 month ago. We were updating our appliances after 19 years! I love the ease of use and the simplicity of the look. It heats up quickly and has varying size burners which is handy. It also has a "melt" feature on one of the burners...nice to have! It is solid black so it looks modern. I replaced an older Whirlpool 30 inch coil cooktop with this 30 inch glass cooktop. I had to cut out the countertop in order for it to fit into the cabinet. We are very pleased with the looks and the performance. Now my wife is happy that all of her pots and pans sit flat on the cooktop and don't wobble around like on the old coil burners!
